Hi, Rolf Magener here with another weekly mindset reset tip. Do you ever feel stressed out or overwhelmed by the world around you? There’s one thing you can do that will really calm you down and make you get rid of stress. It’s meditation. I’ve been a meditator for over 19 years and I recently learnt a technique that is so simple, that is probably the easiest one I can teach to anybody and I’ve been using it every morning and every evening myself. It is the counting meditation.
In order to do it, all you have to do is close your eyes, take deep breaths in, exhale and count, and go from 1 to 10, breathing in and out as you count, and then going back from 10 to 1, breathing in and out as you count. You can do this for 1 minute, for 5 minutes to 10 minutes, as you count your breaths going in and out and then you go to the next number. Let’s try it. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath in and go, “1.” Breathe in again, deep breath. 2. Breathe out. Keep on counting till you get to the number 10. Once you get to 10, you start counting backwards. 10. 9, deep breath in. 8.
You’ll notice even my voice itself is calming down. It’s one of the easiest ways of centering. Notice how much calmer you feel right now. You can do this any time you’re stressed out. You can do this when you wake up in the morning as I do. You can do this in the evening before you to go to sleep. If you do this every day this week, you will see how your life becomes calmer and how your life becomes better.
